Orphaned by Your Solar Installer? You Have More Options Than You Think.
- Thorough Cleaning: Professionals use specialized equipment and non-abrasive cleaning solutions that remove buildup without damaging the glass or underlying technology.
- Safety First: Climbing onto rooftops to clean panels is dangerous. Experienced technicians know how to clean safely and effectively.
- Optimized Efficiency: Clean panels absorb more sunlight, directly increasing energy production.
By Infinity Solar USA
You picked solar because it was supposed to be simple. Panels go up, the meter runs backward, the savings show up on your bill, and a company you trust is on the other end of the phone if something goes sideways. Then one day you get a letter, or you read a news article, or you call a number that doesn't ring anymore — and you find out the company that put those panels on your roof doesn't exist.
That's the position thousands of homeowners woke up in this winter. Purelight Power's collapse left customers stranded across Oregon, Washington, Ohio, and Virginia. And they aren't the only company that's gone dark in the last twelve months.
If that's you, here's what we want you to know about protecting your
solar energy systems.
You are not stuck
The most common thing we hear from orphaned customers is some version of, "I figured I just had to live with it." You don't. Your panels still work. Your inverter still works. Your roof penetrations are still under whatever workmanship terms came with the original solar panel installation. None of that disappeared when your installer did.
What you've lost is the relationship — the person who picks up when something stops producing, the team that handles a warranty claim, the company that knows where the conduit runs. That part is replaceable. We do it every week with professional
solar panel maintenance.
What we actually do for orphaned customers
When Infinity Solar USA takes on a customer from a closed installer, the process is pretty straightforward. We pull your system information, run a performance check against what your panels should be producing, identify anything that needs attention, and give you a written summary of where you stand. We also review overall solar panel efficiency and system performance to make sure your investment is operating properly. From there, you decide what you want fixed, monitored, or left alone.
There's no obligation to add panels, swap your inverter, or sign a long-term service contract. Some customers do; most just want a real human to call when something breaks. Either is fine with us.
We bought Purelight's customer book in Oregon, Washington, Ohio, and Virginia for a simple reason: those customers existed and somebody needed to be on the other end of the line. We had the field capacity, the licensing, and the service infrastructure to absorb them without dropping the ball.
That's the difference between a solar company and a solar sales operation. A sales operation moves on when the incentive math gets harder. A solar company stays — providing dependable
solar panel maintenance, long-term service, and support for homeowners who rely on their solar energy systems every day.
What to do next
If you are a Purelight customer, we will be reaching out to you. Can’t wait? Call us at (800) 818-0598. We’re here to help.
If you were orphaned by a different installer, give us a call anyway. We can usually tell you within one conversation whether your system is something we can support in your state. And if it isn't, we'll point you toward someone reputable who can.
Solar was supposed to be simple. We're trying to keep it that way.
